What fruits can I use?

For the fruit iced tea recipe you can take any berries. Use strawberries, raspberries, currants, blackberries or blueberries, depending on the season. Even with a mixture of different berries, the iced tea tastes delicious.

By the way, instead of berries you can also use different fruits. Try the iced tea with apricots or sour cherries, for example.

You can use both fresh and frozen fruits. With the second variant, your iced tea is even better and cooled faster.

How to sweeten berry iced tea?

To sweeten the berry iced tea, a fruit syrup is very suitable. For example, use homemade strawberry syrup or orange syrup.

Alternatively, you can use agave syrup, maple syrup, sugar syrup** or regular sugar.

Depending on how sweet your berries are, you can adjust the amount of syrup as you like.

By the way, the fruit iced tea works just fine without a sweetener. Just omit the fruit syrup in the recipe if you want to make a healthy drink. If you make the iced tea for children, then also omit the sugar.

Fruity drink

Perfect for children

Since children are not allowed to drink black tea, the classic lemon iced tea is out of the question for them. This refreshing drink, on the other hand, is perfect for the little ones.

It’s best to leave out the syrup in the recipe when you make the berry iced tea for your kids. Because they don’t need industrial sugar in their drink.
