Fruity, slightly creamy and so delicious is this honeydew mint lime iced tea. It contains no sugar, just like my mango lemonade with basil, and is a healthy refreshment for hot summer days. You can make it at home easily and quickly with white tea. You can find a detailed honeydew iced tea recipe with the exact quantities and step-by-step instructions here at the bottom.
Which tea do I use?
I made the honeydew iced tea with white tea. It combines very well with the melon. You can use any kind of white tea.
Alternatively, green tea works for the recipe. In this case, pay attention to the brewing time on its packaging.
Whether white or green tea – it is important that you buy good quality tea. Then your melon iced tea will be especially delicious and aromatic.
With sweetness of honeydew and sugar free
This iced tea comes without sugar. Nevertheless, it tastes sweet enough thanks to honeydew melon. This makes it much healthier than the classic iced teas with sugar, like the lemon iced tea or the peach iced tea.
You should use a very ripe sweet honeydew melon for the recipe, though. Similarly, use fruit for the apricot rosemary lemonade.
If you want the iced tea even sweeter, you can sweeten it additionally with sugar syrup, maple syrup or agave syrup, just like the raspberry lemonade and basil lemonade.
By the way, try my berry iced tea. It is made with fruit tea and is suitable for children.
Experiment with ingredients and quantities
I made the honeydew iced tea with freshly squeezed lime juice, just like my watermelon lemonade. This makes it taste fruity and very aromatic.
Instead of lime juice, you can use lemon juice, just like for the rose lemonade. Determine its quantity according to your taste.
To make the melon iced tea taste even more refreshing, I added some fresh mint leaves to it, just like I did to my lime lemonade. You can try the recipe with lemon balm or other herbs instead.
