Tart, fruity and heavenly refreshing tastes my iced lime and mint tea. It contains no sugar and is instead sweetened with agave syrup, just like the raspberry lemonade and basil lemonade. For hot summer days, the drink is just the thing. You can find a detailed iced green tea recipe with the exact quantities and step-by-step instructions here at the very bottom.
A change from the classics
My iced green tea with lime and mint is a great flavorful change from the classic iced teas, namely lemon iced tea and peach iced tea. It’s also healthier because it doesn’t use granulated sugar.
You may have also tried my berry iced tea. It’s made with fruit tea and tastes heavenly fruity.
Matcha powder instead of tea bags
Instead of green tea in bags, you can use matcha powder for this recipe. This will give your iced green tea an even more intense flavor, aroma and distinct color.
Use only natural matcha powder made from pure green tea and without additives. For this, study the ingredients list on its packaging.
Sweeten to taste
You can sweeten the iced lime and mint tea to your taste. Simply adjust the amount of agave syrup in the recipe to your liking.
Alternatively, you can use maple syrup or regular sugar to sweeten it.
If you like to drink the iced green tea healthy, then prepare it completely without a sweetener. In fact, that’s what I did with my honeydew iced tea and mango lemonade with basil.
