With my recipe, you can make creamy mashed potatoes using only natural ingredients. It takes very little effort and doesn’t require the industrially produced instant powder.

So you know what’s in your mashed potatoes. It also tastes much more delicious than the dish made from store-bought instant powder.

Which potatoes for mashed potato recipe?

You need floury potatoes for the mashed potato recipe, just like for the vegan potato dumplings, the draniki or the vegetable fritters with cheese. They have a high starch content and break down more quickly when cooked. This makes it easier to process them into creamy mashed potatoes.

How to make vegan

This mashed potato recipe can easily be converted into a vegan version. You only need to replace two ingredients.

Instead of cow’s milk, use a plant-based milk alternative. I usually use soy milk.

In this case, replace animal butter with vegan butter or margarine. It’s best to use organic butter or margarine to avoid unwanted additives in your food.
