Roasted chickpeas are crispy, spicy and heavenly delicious. They are ideal as a healthy and filling snack between meals. You can also use them to refine salads, soups and bowls. The oven baked chickpea snack is quick and versatile to prepare. You can find a detailed recipe with the exact quantities and step-by-step instructions below.

Healthy oven baked chickpea snack
Oven roasted chickpeas not only taste incredibly delicious. They are also healthy and filling. This makes them a great alternative to classic potato chips or candies such as chocolate, gummy bears and zefir.
Any seasoning for many flavors
You can use any spices you like for the recipe, similar to the quinoa patties or the beet patties. This way, you can create a varied snack every time.
I have seasoned roasted chickpeas with paprika powder, garlic powder, ground cumin and a little chili powder. If you like them hotter, use more of the latter. Or try the oven baked chickpea snack with curry powder.

Cook chickpeas yourself
With can chickpeas, this snack is prepared in a flash, just like the chickpea patties. I used chickpeas from a glass jar for this.
Of course, you can also use dried chickpeas for the recipe and cook them yourself, just like for the chickpea and pumpkin soup. Soak them overnight in plenty of cold water and cook them the next day.
How to enjoy and store oven roasted chickpeas
Roasted chickpeas taste best fresh, just like the vegan fish sticks. Take them out of the oven and enjoy them warm or chilled on their own. They will be less crispy the next day.
The chickpea snack also adds a crunchy touch to salads, bowls, such as the falafel bowl or the poke bowl, and soups, for example the coconut pumpkin soup or the creamy vegan tomato soup. Spread them on just before serving.
