This strawberry tiramisu without eggs is an ideal summer dessert. It tastes incredibly fruity, refreshing and not too sweet. Depending on your mood, you can also prepare it in cups, without coffee and without alcohol. You can find a detailed tiramisu recipe with strawberries with the exact quantities and step-by-step instructions below.
Strawberry tiramisu without eggs
Unlike my mango tiramisu, this strawberry tiramisu is eggless. So you don’t have to worry about salmonella when enjoying it.
The filling for the strawberry tiramisu is made with mascarpone, cream and quark. This makes it taste heavenly airy and tender. You can use either normal quark or low-fat quark.
Sweeten to taste
The tiramisu with strawberries tastes moderately sweet, just like my strawberry mascarpone dessert. I have only added powdered sugar to the filling made from mascarpone, cream and quark.
If you like your dessert sweeter, stir some powdered sugar into the strawberry puree. You can also sweeten the coffee to drizzle over the ladyfingers beforehand. You can adjust the amount of powdered sugar for the mascarpone cream as required.
Strawberry tiramisu cups
You can make this strawberry tiramisu in more than just a casserole dish. Instead, layer it in dessert cups or bowls, just like the apple caramel dessert. You need to break the ladyfingers into pieces for this, just like for the dessert cups with fruit.
You can then serve the strawberry tiramisu cups alongside the strawberry muffins, the strawberry yogurt ice cream and the strawberry lemonade at a garden party. The quantities below make about 8 dessert cups.
Alternative without coffee and without alcohol
I have flavored the coffee to drizzle over the ladyfingers with rum. If you want to make your tiramisu with strawberries alcohol-free, you can leave out the rum.
You can also make the dessert without caffeine. In this case, replace the coffee with freshly squeezed orange juice. Or use a mixture of orange and lime juice.
