Vegan black caviar

The vegan black caviar tastes even tastier than the original, but comes without animal products. On bread it is ideal for breakfast or as a snack in between. With this recipe you can make vegan caviar yourself. It's very easy and requires only a few ingredients.

  • Cut sushi nori sheets into pieces.
  • Mix water and soy sauce in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the sushi nori and let them soak for about 15 minutes.
  • Now puree the mixture in a stand mixer or with a hand blender.
  • Add chia seeds and flax seed oil, blend everything and let the mixture soak for 30-40 minutes.
  • Transfer the vegan black caviar into a screw jar.

Notes

  • Instead of sushi nori sheets, you can use other seaweed, for example wakame or dulse.
