  • 100 ml fruit syrup (e.g. strawberry syrup) or to taste

  • fresh berries
  • mint leaves
  • ice cubes or crushed ice

  • Pour boiling water over berry or fruit tea bags and let them steep for about 8 minutes (or according to packaging). Then squeeze the tea bags and remove them. Let the fruit tea cool.
  • Put berries and lemon juice in a blender and puree.
  • Pour the berry mixture through a fine sieve to the cooled fruit tea.
  • Add fruit syrup to the berry tea and stir.
  • Serve the fruit iced tea with fresh berries, mint leaves and ice cubes or crushed ice.

Notes

  • Instead of berry tea in bags, you can take loose fruit tea. For the recipe you then need about 5 teaspoons of it.
  • You can adjust the amount of fruit syrup as you like, depending on how sweet you like the iced tea.
  • The time for cooling is not included in the preparation time.
