Pluck petals from roses.
Put sugar and 200 ml of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring so that the sugar dissolves before the syrup boils.
Take the sugar syrup off the heat, add the rose petals so that they are completely covered with the syrup.
Place the lid tightly on the saucepan and let the syrup steep until it has cooled to room temperature (or at least 3 hours).
Pour the rose petal syrup through a sieve into a water carafe, squeezing the petals a bit as you go.
Add lemon juice to the rose petal syrup.
Pour sparkling water over the syrup.
Add rose water and stir.
Serve the rose lemonade with fresh rose petals, lemon slices and ice cubes.
You can adjust the amount of rose water to taste. It is best to add it to the lemonade in small portions and taste it each time.
You can also make the soda without rose water. In this case, take a little more rose petals.
The amount of lemon juice can be adjusted as you like.
Take the amount of sugar according to taste.
You can also make the drink with non-carbonated mineral water or with tap water. I use sparkling water fresh from the sparkling water maker **.
