Creamy ice cream meets crispy wafers for a delicious combination. These wafer ice cream sandwiches can be eaten comfortably out of the hand and are ideal as a summer snack, even at a garden party. There is guaranteed to be something for everyone among the three flavors. You can make the wafer ice cream sandwich at home with just three ingredients using the recipe.
2rectangular tort wafer sheets (plain wafer sheets)(in my case approx. 10.5 inch x 10.5 inch)
Instructions
Preparation of the classic wafer ice cream sandwich
Line a suitable rectangular baking tin or casserole dish with baking paper and place one of the two tort wafer sheets in it. Put the second sheet to one side for now.
Place cream and sweetened condensed milk in a mixing bowl and whip until creamy.
Pour the cream mixture onto the wafer sheet in the tin, spread it evenly over the entire sheet and smooth it out.
Place the second wafer sheet on top of the cream mixture and press down lightly.
Place the tin with the ice cream in the freezer for approx. 5 - 8 hours until it sets.
Remove the large wafer ice cream sandwich from the tin using the baking paper and quickly cut it into several small pieces (12 pieces in my case).
Place the wafer ice cream sandwiches in the freezer until ready to eat.

Preparation of the wafer chocolate ice cream sandwich
Line a suitable rectangular baking tin or casserole dish with baking paper and place one of the two tort wafer sheets in it. Put the second sheet to one side for now.

Add cocoa powder and beat briefly to form a homogeneous chocolate mixture.
Pour the chocolate cream mixture onto the wafer sheet in the tin, spread it evenly over the entire sheet and smooth it out.
