Orange cookies / cookies with orange
- 100 g butter room warm
- 1 egg
- 90 g sugar**
- orange zest from 1 orange
- 40 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 g baking powder**
- approx. 260 g flour**
- approx. 20 g powdered sugar
- approx. 30 g sugar**
- Mix orange zest and sugar.
- Add softened butter and mix.
- Add orange juice, egg and salt and mix again.
- Add flour with baking powder a little at a time and mix to make a very sticky dough. Cover the dough and chill it for 1 hour. - Shape the dough into small balls (about the size of walnuts), roll each ball first in sugar, then in powdered sugar, and spread the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them.
- Bake the balls in a preheated oven at 180 °C top and bottom heat for approx. 10 minutes. During baking, the balls turn into cookies.
