This sweet spread is heavenly creamy, chocolaty and so delicious. It is made from processed cheese and cocoa and creates a unique combination of flavors. You can make it at home quickly and easily with farmer’s cheese. You can find a detailed chocolate processed cheese spread recipe with the exact quantities and step-by-step instructions below.
Processed cheese and chocolate combined
Processed cheese with chocolate may sound strange at first, but it tastes incredibly delicious and special. The chocolate processed cheese spread is prepared in a similar way to the classic processed cheese spread, except that hardly any salt is used. Instead, sugar and cocoa powder are added.
To get tvorog for chocolate processed cheese spread
You will need tvorog for the chocolate processed cheese spread recipe. You can make your own farmer’s cheese from just two ingredients. Incidentally, the tvorog can be used to conjure up many more sweet treats, such as the ponchiki, farmer’s cheese pryaniki, farmer’s cheese piroshki, tvorog korzhiki or blini filled with tvorog.
Chocolate instead of cocoa powder
You can replace cocoa powder with chocolate in my chocolate processed cheese spread recipe. Both milk and dark chocolate are suitable. Use about 100 grams of it. You will then need to reduce the amount of sugar, depending on how sweet your chocolate is.
Break the chocolate into pieces and add to the processed cheese mixture just before removing it from the water bath. Stir until the chocolate has melted and you have a smooth chocolate mixture.
Alternatively, you can use both chocolate and cocoa in the recipe. Adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.
For breakfast or dessert
The sweet chocolate spread tastes delicious on bread. Enjoy it with a freshly baked baguette, baton “Nareznoy” or fluffy rolls, for example.
You can serve the chocolate processed cheese spread for breakfast alongside savory spreads such as the walnut spread, hummus, vegan tuna sandwich spread, basil pesto or wild garlic butter. The chocolate spread also tastes delicious for dessert with a glass of tea or coffee.
