Which apples should I use?

Juicy and crunchy apples are best for the apple muffins recipe. Under no circumstances should they be dry.

It is also better to use a tart variety of apple, similar to the rice quark casserole with apples. It perfectly complements the sweet taste of the pastry with honey. Of course, you can also make muffins with sweet apples.

Fruity, fluffy, moist apple muffins

These sugar-free apple muffins taste heavenly moist. They are also very fluffy and soft, similar to my banana muffins. The apple pieces in the pastry add a fruity note.

Sugar-free apple muffins

My apple muffins contain no industrial sugar, just like the vegan banana muffins or the oatmeal cookies. Instead, they are sweetened with honey. It combines perfectly with the apples in terms of taste. It also gives the muffins a delicious aroma.

Use good quality aromatic honey for the recipe, just as you would for the honey cookies, the honey cake “Ryzhik” or the honey pryaniki. Because the taste of the muffins with apples depends on it. You can use any type of honey you like.

Refine with sweet spices

You can also refine the sugar-free apple muffins with various spices. Vanilla and cinnamon go very well with them. You can also add fresh lemon zest. First mix the spices with the flour and baking soda and then add to the liquid honey mixture.

Because the muffins are particularly delicious with fresh fruit. Perhaps you even have an apple tree growing in your garden and use the apples you have harvested yourself for baking.

With their honey aroma, the apple muffins will also put you in a good mood on rainy days.
